VANCOUVER ACTING HEADSHOTS
Where do photoshoots take place?

Photoshoots will take place in my studio in East Vancouver.

How long does each package take?

My packages are not based on time, but based on looks. Once we both feel we have nailed that "look" we will move on to the next. Sessions will take anywhere from 45min to 2 hours depending on package chosen.

What are some examples of headshot looks?

What looks you pick depend on your age, casting type, what parts you tend to go out for ect. Some example are hallmark, cw, commercial. theatrical, girl next door, busines person, mom/father etc. Not sure what looks you want to do, bring lots of clothing options and we'll play around!

What kinds of clothings should I bring?

Think about your casting type and how you want your photos to represent you. From experience I would avoid anything with distracting patterns, or neon colours, but clothing with texture is great. Take time to think about what colours compliment your eyes/hair/skin. I find muted earthy colours work great on everyone (blues, greens, brown, pinks) but feel free to bring lots of options. Think about what necklines make you feel most confident. Layering pecies are great to bring along as well. It is always better to bring too much clothing options then not enough!

Ladies:
-
Multiple types of tops and layers - tanks, v-necks, long sleeves, crop, blouses, jean jackets, leather jackets, cardigans, and blazers.
-
Make sure to try on all options with appropriate undergarments to ensure a great fit. Ensure bras do not have any visible texture or colour.
-
fresh nail polish if applicable, delicate jewellery.

Men:
-
Multiple styles of tops and layers- t-shirts (v and crew), dress shirts, sweaters, blazers, jackets, textured layers like chambray shirts are great.
-
Jewellery you are likely to wear to auditions- rings, bracelets, watches and necklaces.

p.s. if you are buying clothes for your shoot that you are not 100% sold on, leave the tags on!

How can I prepare before my session?

One of the best thing you can do is drink lots of water the week of your shoot, and to avoid alcohol the night before as it can make you look tired. I find it's best to plan your outfits a few days before as to avoid any last minute stress!!

If you are planning to update your hair, make sure to do it the week before rather than the night before, just to avoid unnecessary stress if any mishaps happens.

If you have an agent check in a see if they have any input before the shoot takes place.

If doing your own makeup, I would focus on creating a smooth hydrated base! It is easier to bring makeup to add on durning your session than to remove makeup. I always recommend everyone to bring a touch up bag along with you, adding lipstick is a great easy way to change up your look mid session as well.

What should I expect from edited photos?

The goal of editing is to make you look like YOURSELF on your best day! I will remove any blemishes or distracting fly away hairs, brighten teeth and under eye bags. I will gently smooth uneven skin tone, I may soften a few wrinkles but I will never remove them. But most importantly I will make your eyes as bright as possible!

How do I pay?

All sessions require a $100 non refundable deposit upon booking , which can be made by e-transfer. The remainder can be paid by cash the day of the shoot or by e-transfer before the session.

How long does it take to get my images?

After the shoot you will receive a proof gallery within 5 working days. Through this gallery you will be able to view and download / view your proofs.

Once you have selected your final images to get edited, you will receive your final edited images within 5-10 business days.
